Commencement Planning
The University of Michigan-Flint Commencement Ceremony is only two months away. According to the Registrar’s Office, over 900 students are eligible to participate in the commencement exercises in May. That number could mean our largest commencement on record! The UM-Flint Commencement Ceremony will take place on Sunday, May 2 at 2:30 p.m. A commencement speaker will be announced soon.
Adding to the excitement of commencement season is President Barack Obama speaking at the Ann Arbor ceremony on May 1. Our colleagues in Ann Arbor are working out the logistics of the ceremony, including ways for interested UM-Flint students to take part in that event. I know there is quite a bit of interest from our students regarding that ceremony. As soon as we receive details about that ceremony, we will send an email to the campus community with all the information.
In the meantime, enjoy a well-deserved spring break!
