Feedback on Critical Issues Forum 2010 and Planning for 2011
The Critical Issues Forum is an ongoing work-in-progress. It is our mission to constantly evaluate and examine this beloved event, and do all we can to provide an enlightening experience for all attendees.
Each year, we ask those who attend the luncheon to fill out a simple feedback form. This year, 133 people told us exactly what they thought about the 2010 Critical Issues Forum.
– Majority felt the speakers and topics were interesting, although some thought that the speaker selection in previous years was stronger.
– Some would like to see the speakers spread out throughout the year, instead of over a 5-6 week period each spring.
– Some would like to see more communication and advertising about the event to make it better known throughout the community.
– The number one issue that people would like to have a speaker discuss is the economy, followed by healthcare.
– Most popular speaker requests include Condoleeza Rice, Tom Friedman, Bill Clinton, Diane Rehm, Bill Maher, Alan Greenspan, Mitch Albom, Jamie Oliver, Colin Powell, and Rachel Maddow.
So, what do you think? How can the Critical Issues Forum improve? Who would you like to see speak at UM-Flint? Post your thoughts here.
