Google Analytics Workshop

At the March 25 web transition workshop, we talked with you about how you can use web analytics to guide your department’s web content strategy. To help us dig deeper into this topic, we’re happy to bring Matthew Adams from the University of Michigan’s College of LS&A Web Services to campus for a training session on Google Analytics. Discover who is visiting your website, including where they’re from, how they’re finding out about your site, even how much time they are spending on your site. This is wonderful insider information that can help you make important choices about the type of content you feature on your website.

Matthew will provide an overview of Google Analytics, and explain how answering five questions about your website’s metrics can make it more effective for your unit and a great resource for your visitors.

The Communication and Training Specialist at the University of Michigan’s College of LS&A Web Services, Matthew Adams is responsible for the communication with and user advocacy for nearly 300 staff and faculty who use the college’s website content management system. When he’s not wrestling any of his four children, he fancies himself an early adopter of technologies and finds like company in that endeavor as co-chair of the University of Michigan’s Technology and Trends Committee.
