You’ve likely heard by now, but we did it! The University of Michigan-Flint’s branded Foursquare page launched Friday, January 21. You can read all about the process if you’re interested in the nitty-gritty. You’ll find Foursquare analytics included in future Social Media Updates, once we’ve determined a good tracking method.
Social Media Facts and Figures
Below, a summary of UM-Flint’s social media efforts in the month of January.
Our Audience:
- The UM-Flint Twitter account (@umflint) now has 746 followers.
- In January, UM-Flint’s Facebook fan page gained 165 likes (up to 5,578 from 5,413).
- The UM-Flint YouTube channel’s videos have now been viewed over 54,500 times.
Our Reach:
- The highest number of “daily wall posts” on Facebook was 3 on January 5.
- The highest number of “daily comments” on Facebook was 9 on January 28.
- The highest number of “daily likes” on Facebook was 25 on January 4.
- The highest number of photo views was 161 on January 27, when new photos were uploaded to the UM-Flint Was Here album.
- The tweeted links most often clicked were a link to the Dean’s List and an MLive story about the Carnegie Foundation’s recognition of UM-Flint for community engagement.
