Devotion

Turn me into something ancient.

Speak impressions into my bones

& fossilize them with every

breath.

Sacrifice my soul to the stars

before carving my body

into the shape of immortality.

Faithfully worship the secrets

held within my flesh and feel

the blood run through my veins

with untold prophecies.

Memorize the galaxies that lay

in my eyes.

Don’t you dare turn away,

even when your heart starts to catch

fire

from how brightly my irises burn.

Trace the curves of my hands,

the lines in my fingers-

know they hold too much magic

to ever have another intertwined.

Turn me into something ancient,

Devour me.
