Description

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in finance or accounting, industrial engineering, MIS or related quantitative field. Masters preferred. 5 years experience in process definition, mapping, and improvement implementation. Lean, QDM or other recognized continuous improvement certification required. Experience in leading process improvement events including but not limited to VSM, Kaizen and/or improvement blitz events. Demonstrated experience in defining and transitioning business and end user needs into requirements for operational and IT system development and selection. Preferred strong understanding of materiel management function and fluency with supply chain application systems. Proficiency in the use of office computer software programs (Microsoft office) to perform quantitative analysis (such as control limits, regression, variation and pareto analysis) and preparing compelling communication and reporting on continuous improvement activities. Demonstrated knowledge in application of technology to business processes preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee execution of business processes & perform audits to business process execution to identify and document non-compliance.
  • Gather data and perform root cause analysis of identified process discrepancies, inefficiencies and/or operational inadequacies of the most complex nature with corrective action recommendation and procedural improvements for management review and approval.
  • Audit materiel processes and act as a consultant to materiel department for the development of processes and procedures for new and existing operations.
  • Identify and recommend to management changes to policies and procedures [i.e. aircraft parts engineering transformation (apex) processes] to improve operational, systems and custodial control/oversight standards.
  • Monitor the appropriateness of existing it functionality and identify gaps and/or opportunities for enhancements.
  • Oversee content and revisions to departmental manuals and materiel sections of gmm.
  • Oversee administration of materiel-related systems including system administration, security and user profile maintenance.
  • Oversee materiel continuous improvement and quality driven management (qdm).
  • Provide consulting services and project leadership in developing and implementing methods, including benchmarking, for process improvement.
  • Prepare and issue metrics on efficiency and effectiveness of business processes in order to address operational weaknesses and/or procedural/ system inadequacies.
  • Coordinate the development/revision of departmental policies and procedures to ensure continued improvement and controls.
  • Monitor compliance with custodial control processes.
