Job Description:
This internship is scheduled to start in April, 2013 for a duration of 6 months.
It is paid and is located in Auburn Hills, Michigan
- •Ensure data integrity in our Enterprise Architecture repository and configuration management database
- •Create standard operational run books
- •Develop team wiki’s to use for status reports and weekly updates
- •Create a master data center diagram detailing the rack layout with front and back elevations
- •Enhance the asset management process by tagging and barcoding all hardware to be tracked in our SAP system
- •Assist with cable labeling in the Auburn Hills Data Center
- •Cleanse data residing in the asset management system (Altiris)
- •Assist with service catalog administration
- •Document and develop our capacity management process
- Improve our data storage archiving process
Qualifications:
- •Must be enrolled at a University/College
- •Progress towards a degree in Information Technology or a related field
- •Proficient in technology – both hardware and software
- •Work well with different people while still being in control of some of their own assignments
- •Be able to speak, write and listen effectively
- •Know when to take charge but also know when to let others take over, depending on what’s needed.
- •Maintain a mature and responsible attitude
- •Display the ability to multi-task, prioritize
