Water buffaloes escape film set, dart in and out of traffic

University of Sydney students in Newtown, Australia experienced something sort of strange this morning, when two water buffaloes escaped from a film set and ran down King Street.

Along the way, a cowboy tried to lasso them, and they trampled the Vice Principal’s azeleas. Meanwhile, a jeep complete with film equipment followed the buffaloes, capturing the entire scene.

Fire station commander Brad Black said, “I’m used to dealing with all sort of bull … so just another day in the job of a firefighter in Newtown.”
