We return to the Graduate Student Spotlight this week! Today we’re highlighting Rebecca Fulesi, a Master of Science in Physician Assistant student! Rebecca is a hard-working student with an interest in a variety of areas within her field of study. She has a keen interest in not only Cardiology, but also Emergency Medicine and Surgery as well! With her varied interests, she enjoys the ability to go to any of her professors for advice or to learn more about a new topic. She enjoys working alongside her cohort and hearing from the experiences of her professors in the field. Rebecca enjoys exploring campus, and using all of the study resources we have available. She looks forward to gaining more classroom and professional experience, and looks forward to putting what she learns into practice! Thank you for participating, Rebecca! Here’s what she had to say for our usual questions:
What’s Your Favorite Part of Your Graduate Program?
Our faculty and office staff. Everyone has an open door policy and I feel completely comfortable going to any of the professors with a problem or for advice and encouragement. Our staff is super friendly. They are quick to respond to emails and are always super nice and helpful in-person.
What’s Been Your Favorite Class?
Patient Evaluation Course – In this class we learn and practice physical exam skills. We eventually cover all the body systems before switching to the clinical phase of our degree. My favorite lab for the patient eval course was our surgical scrub day!
What’s Your Favorite Part of Campus?
My favorite part of campus is the variety of places that there are to study! I especially like the study rooms in the William S. White building as well as the study rooms in Murchie.
Any Advice for Other Students?
Seek every opportunity to be involved and to grow both personally and professionally. Growth is uncomfortable, but you will be proud of the work you have done and the experiences you have gained.
