Graduate Programs

Blogs from students, faculty & staff

It’s time for another Graduate Student Spotlight! This week’s student is Andrea LaRocque! Andrea is studying for a Master of Science in Physician Assistant, and is one of our fantastic student ambassadors! Andrea enjoys the different aspects of medicine she’s learning through her program, taking a special interest in emergency medicine, cardiology, and infectious disease. Andrea always looks forward to learning something new and useful in her program, and looks forward to applying what she’s seen practically. She enjoys learning alongside her cohort of like-minded classmates, and appreciates the support of the PA faculty. Here’s what she had to say about her program and what she would tell potential students:

What’s Your Favorite Part of Your Graduate Program?

I truly love the faculty of the PA program. They are incredibly supportive of us inside and outside of the classroom. They work really hard to provide us with the best learning opportunities possible.

What’s Been Your Favorite Class?

I truly love the faculty of the PA program. They are incredibly supportive of us inside and outside of the classroom. They work really hard to provide us with the best learning opportunities possible.

What’s Your Favorite Part of Campus?

In the spring and summer one of my favorite things to do is sit outside by the river and soak up some sun. I also enjoy watching all of the wildlife that the river attracts.

Any Advice for Other Students?

Graduate school is tough, but you just need to stay positive, keep your head up, and push forward.
