The Honors & Awards Ceremony was held Friday December 9, 2016 on the campus of University of Michigan- Flint. Faculty, staff, students and their families enjoyed an elegant evening to recognize student accomplishments. Four students received the Outstanding Student Award, for their academic achievements and contributions to the campus community. (See list below)
“The most memorable moment in my college experience was being notified I won this award” said Christopher Shea, Health Sciences Outstanding Student Award recipient.
Outstanding Student Award winners are selected by the faculty from a large group of eligible students. Criteria include credits earned, GPA and student engagement. The decisions are always very difficult; with so many deserving applicants. Brenda Cameron, Manager: Quality Improvement Projects said “These students embody the spirit of the award and reflect the vision and mission of the department”.
During the evening the Eta Sigma Gamma Scholarship Key Award winners were recognized, as well as honor cords and honor society cords recipients. Congratulations to all the award winners and honor cords recipients!
