Sarah LaBean, graduating health care administration student, presented her research poster, “Diabetes Education Program”, at the 2013 Meeting of Minds Undergraduate Research Conference last Friday, May 10.

Many conference attendees stopped to ask questions about Sarah’s project. Sarah developed her proposed program in Dr. Gergana Kodjebacheva’s Health Care Program Evaluation course, “I would never have done this if I hadn’t met Dr. K,” she says.

Sarah plans to complete an MBA in hopes of becoming CEO of a healthcare organization. She is also interested in teaching and research, and is considering pursuing a Ph.D. in public health.

Meeting of Minds is open to all undergraduate students who wish to present research. It is a wonderful opportunity to show off your work, interact with faculty and other students, and get a leg up when building your resume and applying for graduate schools. Presenters are eligible to submit their research for publication in the Meeting of Minds Journal of Undergraduate Research.
