PHHS’ Radiation Therapy Student Organization (RTSO) was one of several PHHS student organizations to participate in this year’s Relay for Life fundraiser at the University of Michigan-Flint. The group raised $600 through direct donations and donated $300 from their T-Shirt fundraiser. Everybody hates cancer, but these students really made a statement with their Relay booth, displaying a large sign reading “CANCER SUCKS,” onto which visitors could stick their discarded gum!

PHHS’s Healthcare Administration Student Organization (HASO) and the Pre-Physical Therapy club also participated in the Relay for Life. Kirti Vekaria, Health Care Administration major, is president of the UM-Flint’s Colleges Against Cancer club, which planned this year’s Relay. You can read more about the event here.
