This Friday, May 12, 2023 University of Michigan-Flint will host a return to an in-person student research symposium known as the Student Research Conference.  Students from UM-Flint, Mott Community College, and Kettering University will showcase the research projects they’re working on at the Riverfront Conference Center. There will be 30 posters spread across two morning sessions, and 16 Oral Presentations.

The conference will feature undergraduate and graduate student presenters from all three campuses. The students will showcase their work in an informal and relaxed setting. A broad range of disciplines will be represented, from engineering, technology, business, biology and physical and occupational therapy.

Psychology student researcher Nathaniel Cordova presented his portion of the project Mapping Resources for Parkinson’s Disease in Michigan, on which he assisted Nathan Miller. There will be many presentations like this at the Research Conference this Friday.

The event will kick-off with opening remarks from executive director of the Office of Research and Economic Development, Randy Duncan and Maxwell Salvator, a doctoral candidate at University of Michigan and MI-CARE research fellow.
