Eta Sigma Gamma (ESG), the Public Health Education Honor Society, participated in the Community Basic Needs Fair on Saturday, March 14. It is a free community resource event at the Gloria Coles Flint Public Library.
At the event, ESG members provided microplastics education—sharing practical information with community members about what microplastics are, where they are commonly found in everyday life, and why reducing exposure matters for public and environmental health.
ESG members also had the opportunity to connect with local leaders during the fair, including a moment of recognition when the Flint city mayor’s office stopped by and took a photo with the group.
