Play Beyond Boundaries is a collaborative initiative between students and faculty at the College of Health Sciences and the College of Innovation & Technology at UM-Flint, focused on creating adaptive ride-on cars for children with different mobility needs.

Through creativity, teamwork and compassionate design, students work to provide children with opportunities to play, explore movement and build confidence in new ways. These experiences not only support development today, but help create pathways toward greater independence in the future.

It was incredibly meaningful to witness the joy shared by the children, their families and the students involved in this project. Moments like these remind us of the power of inclusion, innovation and community collaboration.
