What are employers looking for when it comes to their next great hire?

During our CASE Career Fair in February 2026, we connected with several employers from across the region to learn what matters to them.

In partnership with UM-Flint’s Office of Student Career Advancement & Success, CASE invited 51 regional employers to connect with 125 students throughout the day. The fair was kicked off by a Q&A panel featuring recruiters and HR professionals from several prominent employers.

UM-Flint faculty and staff coached students in soft skills to ensure they were prepared to network effectively and develop new professional relationships.
