Health sciences student Alison Martin and M.S. in Health Education alumna, Allison Rariden have published articles in UM-Flint’s Journal of Student Research. Both students submitted works as part of the UM-Flint Student Research Conference in April 2013. Martin, who plans to go on to graduate study in physcial therapy, published her article, “‘The Whole Process is a Dance in Itself’: Phsycial Therapy for Professional and Student Dancers,” under the guidance of her faculty sponsor, Dr. Suzanne Selig. Rariden, who graduated in May 2013 and is now working as an assistant program manager at the Greater Flint Health Coalition, was sponsored by Dr. Rie Suzuki, and published the article, “Examination of the Factors Associated with Osteoporosis Among an Elderly Population in Genesee County, Michigan.” Both articles can read online here.
