Congratulations to our colleagues in SHPS; the School of Health Professions and Studies (Austin Agho, Linda Knecht, Jamila Harris, Ka’Neesha Allen and Annette Paterson) who were recently notified that their application for the UM-Flint Initiatives for Nursing Diversity (UM-FIND) has been awarded $378,275 by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA)!
The purpose of the project is to increase the level of diversity and cultural competence in Flint’s nursing workforce by providing disadvantaged/minority students at the middle school, high school, associate degree and baccalaureate levels with the skills and resources to successfully compete for admission, enrollment, progression and graduation from the BSN program at UM-Flint.
