Jessica Waddler Adams

Artist’s Statement:  Whimsicality. Innocence. Emotions. Nature. All in their most raw and untamed state. In my artwork, I attempt to stay within the limitless boundaries of these words. As an illustrator, I feel a connection between the lines of a piece of art and the meaning that it produces internally, and I try to imitate this whenever possible in my own way. I’ve been an artist ever since I was a child, and drew horses like long neck dinosaurs. I’ve since then found my voice in line art, illustration work with minimalist color techniques, and watercolor that pushes realism, fantasy, and originality each time I partake of the pencil and paper. I hope the same feelings can be felt when you venture into my works.

Elizabeth M. Mosley

Artist’s Statement – I paint what my heart desires at the time. When the five piece displayed here were painted, I was obsessed with my childhood. I’ve always like superhero, I enjoy the look of comics. Marvel for me trumped DC at the time; it is a consent battle. I believe in painting what makes you happy. Currently I’m into black and grey portraits. Stay tuned, anything is liable to happen when paint hits the canvas.

Ashley Thornton

Artist’s Statement – Painting was something I despised when I first picked up my first paint brush. I couldn’t control it like I could with other mediums. It has only been recent, in my ten year schooling, that I have discovered my passion in acrylics. Practice was key, and many mistakes! Now I am able to convey my visions onto the canvas and express my emotions with brush strokes. Painting has definitely given me more confidence as an artist and it is something that I finally enjoy creating!
