My name is Carolyn Miller and I am an Infant/Toddler Head Teacher at UM Flint ECDC. Along with my role on staff, I am also a graduate student working on my MA in Early Childhood Education. I’ve been employed at the ECDC since the fall semester of 2006. Since coming to UM-Flint, I’ve learned a great deal about the Reggio Emi!ia approach. I’ve become a passionate Reggio inspired teacher and value its respect for young children and their families. While in Italy, I’m looking forward to observing the community of Reggio Emi!ia and the interactions between adults and young children. I would like to compare the parental involvement practices of the Reggio centers and US centers. I also plan to discuss the unique partnerships that exist between teachers, parents, and the community of Reggio and Cavriago.
