Job Description: The Program Director will oversee the daily operations of the One Stop Housing Resource Center.

 Specific Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • The Program Director will work as part of the Resource Genesee management team to carry out the strategic plan in an effective manner*
  • Supervise the daily operations of the One Stop
  • Supervise/train the One Stop staff and the information and referral call specialists*
  • Seek innovative ways to fill service gaps
  • Create and monitor the One Stop annual budget
  • Write and submit monthly reports to funders and the Resource Genesee Board of Directors
  • Participate in all fund raising activities for One Stop and Resource Genesee including grant writing and events*
  • Provide client assessments and other client services as needed
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records
  • Enter client and agency data into the Homeless Management Information Systems (HMIS) in a timely manner
  • Participate as an active member in the Continuum of Care, the Community Collaborative, United Way Systems of Care Basic Needs/Strengthening Families, stay informed of current community needs and opportunities*
  • Provide staff support to the Board of Directors, as needed*
  • Respond to requests for information from funders, volunteers, the Resource Genesee Board of Directors, and the community*.

 

Qualifications:                                                     

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services, social work, psychology, or related field or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated cultural competency
  • Excellent verbal/written communications skills, and active listening skills
  • Demonstrated supervisory skills
  • Knowledge of community resources including emergency assistance and affordable housing
  • Ability to work in fast paced/crisis environment
  • Demonstrated time management skills/ability to work effectively without supervision
  • Computer skills (Word, Excel, Access, etc.)
  • Demonstrated customer service/interpersonal skills
