Federal Grants One Step Closer to Being Standardized
Effective July 1, 2008, ten federal agencies will implement a standard set of research terms and conditions for its grantees and partner organizations. The Defense Department’s Air Force Office of Scientific Research, Army Medical Research and Materiel Command, Army Research Office, and Office of Naval Research, and the Department of Energy, Environmental Protection Agency, National Institutes of Health, National Aeronautics and Space Administration, National Science Foundation, and Department of Agriculture Cooperative State Research, Education, and Extension Service have all adopted a Federal Demonstration Partnership-proposed model implementation of OMB Circular A–110 in an effort to create greater consistency in the administration of federal research awards.
