{"id":70,"date":"2013-10-15T17:46:02","date_gmt":"2013-10-15T17:46:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost\/?page_id=70"},"modified":"2026-06-04T12:19:03","modified_gmt":"2026-06-04T16:19:03","slug":"guidelines","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.umflint.edu\/qua\/about\/guidelines\/","title":{"rendered":"Guidelines"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Submission Guidelines<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-style-default has-custom-um-blue-background-color has-background has-global-padding is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left has-base-color has-text-color has-link-color has-large-font-size wp-elements-6ac824beac0b702a16127498a668c0f3\">Qua Literary and Fine Arts Magazine 2026-2027 Submission Guidelines<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-text-subtitle has-base-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-7122c54796857b7eabb4dda01d60db4c is-style-text-subtitle--1\"><em>Qua <\/em>accepts rolling submissions from writers and artists currently living in the state of Michigan.&nbsp; For 2026-2027 we are accepting submissions of fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction, and visual art for publication in our Fall and Winter editions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-base-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-72e6d896372b6b93723c6a67876f6c52\">All submissions should use our <a href=\"https:\/\/go.umflint.edu\/quamagazinesubmission\">submission portal<\/a>, where they will be assessed by our team of editors.&nbsp; When saving your soon-to-be-submitted documents, please include your name in the document filename.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-base-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-5ef0897b92ddb17793f9f69ef921eb0a\">Simultaneous submissions are accepted, but please inform us immediately if your work is accepted elsewhere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-base-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-de2bd944b6076f6167b056942c870e7c\">Please send polished work. While typos and grammatical errors will not automatically lead to a rejection, they are duly considered. Show that you take your craft seriously, and editors will also take it seriously. We look forward to reading your work!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-base-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-ef0ffa4b790e7a1527650a0c03bdb75d\">All submissions in languages other than English must include a translation for verification by the editors, this translation will not be published in the physical edition.
