Information Technology Services

This is the first of a series of messages that will help you get ready to start exploring Google Apps for Education. Starting around October 24th, we will begin creating accounts in the M+Google domain for   everyone on the Flint campus. This process should be complete by October 31st. After that, you will have access to 40+Google services .

Two important things to know:

  1. This does not include Google Mail and Calendar. Your current email and calendar will remain as they are now.
  2. You choose if and when you want to use these new services.  Other resources (like Microsoft Office) are not going away.

So relax…take your time, read the information we send you, and explore the materials in the Learning Center on our site:

Remember: October 24th is a start date, not a deadline. 🙂

Also Important.

If you ever used your address to access Google services (like Docs, YouTube, Blogger, Picasa, etc.) chances are pretty good that you will have a “conflicting account” once we set you up with your new M+Google account. You’ll get a notification when you log in to Google if this is the case.

Remain calm.

You’ll be prepared:

Next week, we’ll point you to some resources that will take you through a step-by-step process for how to resolve the conflict.

Thanks! We’ll be back in touch soon.
