On Saturday, February 21, the Honors Program, in collaboration with the Office of Admissions, welcomed 58 high-achieving prospective students to campus for our annual full-tuition scholarship competition. While the primary purpose of the event is to award five full-tuition scholarships, the day represents much more than a competition. It offers students an opportunity to experience campus life firsthand at the University of Michigan-Flint. Throughout the day, participants connected with current Honors Program students, faculty, and staff, learned about the distinctive strengths of our academic programs, and asked thoughtful questions about their future here.Families and supporters participated in a dedicated panel featuring representatives from public safety, financial aid, residential life, admissions, and the registrar\u2019s office. This session provided an open forum to address important questions and highlight the comprehensive support systems available to our students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Equally important, students began building relationships with one another, forming early connections that will support their transition to college and strengthen their academic and social networks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We are excited about the talent, leadership, and curiosity these students bring and look forward to welcoming many of them to campus in the fall.
