The Department of English at the University of Michigan-Flint is seeking a Lecturer I to teach in the Writing Program for the Fall 2014 semester beginning Wednesday, September 3. The lecturer will be expected to teach and hold office hours for two face-to-face courses with the following class schedule: ENG 252 Advanced Composition (MW 2:30-3:45pm) and ENG 296 Introduction to Creative Writing (MW 4:00-5:15pm). ENG 252 is a writing course focusing on non-fiction writing for a variety of audiences and includes study of rhetorical elements such as invention, form, and style. ENG 296 is a writing course focusing on creative writing and an introduction to multiple creative writing genres (such as fiction, essay, poetry, drama).
