This award recognizes significant contributions to health education and the advancement of the profession.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Suzanne Trojanowski,<\/strong> clinical associate professor of physical therapy, who received the Mabel E. Holton Award. <\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n Fall 2025<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Todd Womack,<\/strong> program manager and adjunct lecturer in social work, was honored as Peace Maker of the Year at the Peace and Unity Day Celebration. Womack was invited to speak and was surprised with the award in recognition of his community leadership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n “It was an honor and humbling experience to be recognized by my friends and colleagues. Ubuntu!”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Fall 2025<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Outstanding Student Award in Health Sciences Outstanding Student Award in Health Care Management Outstanding Graduate Student Award in Health Care Management Outstanding Student Award in Health Care Administration Nolan Lawrence,<\/strong> doctor of physical therapy student, <\/strong>(Class of 2025), is the 2025 APTA Michigan Institute for Education and Research Honors and Awards Recipient of the Outstanding Physical Therapist Student Award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n “It was an honor to be recognized by the faculty of the physical therapy department. It means a lot to me to have been chosen amongst my classmates that are so accomplished and that I respect so much. It has been a privilege being a doctoral student at the University of Michigan-Flint.”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Angela Myers<\/strong>, health care administration major, received the Maize and Blue Distinguished Scholar Award. The Maize and Blue Distinguished Scholar Award is a longstanding tradition at the University of Michigan-Flint. It honors undergraduate students for their considerable achievements and is the highest academic award bestowed upon graduates of the university.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Outstanding Graduate Student in Public Health Logan Patterson,<\/strong> master of physician assistant student, class of 2027, was elected by his peers as the Student Representative to the Michigan Academy of Physician Associates. <\/p>\n\n\n\n “My role as a student voting member for the MAPA board of directors will be to serve as a student voice for PA leadership. I will be listening to the interests and concerns of PA students in every program across the state, ensuring these thoughts are well represented in leadership discussions. Beyond this, I will be working with the board in its efforts to advocate for the interests of PAs across the state.
