{"id":689,"date":"2015-01-02T18:14:59","date_gmt":"2015-01-02T18:14:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.umflint.edu\/cas\/?p=689"},"modified":"2024-07-12T16:14:23","modified_gmt":"2024-07-12T16:14:23","slug":"onlinehealthcarecourse","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.umflint.edu\/case\/2015\/01\/02\/onlinehealthcarecourse\/","title":{"rendered":"All UM-Flint Students Invited to Join Online Course &#8220;Understanding and Improving the U.S. Healthcare System&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[youtube]http:\/\/youtu.be\/PJ-ovHJjsU0[\/youtube]<\/p>\n<p><em>From: Michelle Ehlers, MSW<\/em><br \/>\n<em>University of Michigan Health System Course Administrator<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Imagine a learning experience that could\u00a0bring together students from <strong>ALL 3 CAMPUSES of the University of Michigan<\/strong>, about a topic relevant to all of them in their lives\u2026<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"Apple-style-span\">Just such an opportunity for undergraduate, graduate and professional students at the Flint, Dearborn, and Ann Arbor campuses is coming in <strong>January-February 2015<\/strong>!\u00a0 UM students have a UM-only opportunity to participate in the University\u2019s first all-campus, massive open online course (MOOC) on the U.S. healthcare system.\u00a0 This non-credit bearing \u201ccourse\u201d will require considerable commitment, but the pay-off from participating in this unique three-campus learning community is equally large.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The program\u00a0will be\u00a0led by Matthew Davis, MD, MAPP, professor of pediatrics and internal medicine\/public policy\/health management &amp;
