As part of UM-Flint&#8217;s education program, the course reflects the TCP&#8217;s place-based approach that regularly connects coursework and teaching practices with partners and projects in the community. They&#8217;ve been the driving force behind the nature of the project, she added. The <a href=\"https:\/\/umflint.ut1.qualtrics.com\/jfe\/form\/SV_eKvjmDOcXYvn6FD\">survey<\/a>\u00a0will help the DDA and downtown businesses learn about community member experiences; its results should be helpful in future grant writing and business planning.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_2530\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2530\" style=\"width: 430px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.umflint.edu\/cas\/2018\/02\/26\/um-flint-math-class-partners-with-dda-for-survey-on-downtown-flint\/dsc_0930_blog\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2530\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2530\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.umflint.edu\/cas\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2018\/02\/DSC_0930_blog.jpg\" alt=\"Students in UM-Flint's MTH 272 class\" width=\"430\" height=\"287\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.umflint.edu\/case\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2018\/02\/DSC_0930_blog.jpg 600w, https:\/\/blogs.umflint.edu\/case\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2018\/02\/DSC_0930_blog-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 430px) 100vw, 430px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-2530\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Students in UM-Flint&#8217;s MTH 272 class<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Once the survey is closed, the class will use their statistics methods to analyze the data; the results will be included in a written report and executive summary that they present to the DDA in April.
