Faculty member Elke Kramer explains that\u00a0this is the &#8220;only course that allows you (students) to start German from scratch and with business German terminology right from the beginning.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The course is open to all UM-Flint students.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.umflint.edu\/cas\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2015\/12\/GER120.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1496\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.umflint.edu\/cas\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2015\/12\/GER120-780x1024.jpg\" alt=\"GER120\" width=\"430\" height=\"564\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.umflint.edu\/case\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2015\/12\/GER120-780x1024.jpg 780w, https:\/\/blogs.umflint.edu\/case\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2015\/12\/GER120-229x300.jpg 229w, https:\/\/blogs.umflint.edu\/case\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2015\/12\/GER120.jpg 2000w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 430px) 100vw, 430px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Kramer continues, &#8220;Taking German for more than just the core curriculum requirements has a better look on the resumes. It allows HR to see that a student can actually communicate in German and has more to offer than just survival skills or intro level German proficiency.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>She also hopes that the focused curriculum will help students looking to find employment with one of the more than 350 German companies that operate in Michigan.<\/p>\n<p>The class will be offered Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30-3:45pm.
