University Honors Program Celebrates 35 Years

Honors will be celebrating 35 years this year, and we would like all of our alumni, Honors Faculty, current students, and anyone who feels a connection to Honors to celebrate with us! Please RSVP at https://formassembly.umflint.edu/2540.
Oct. 9th: Join the Annual Stratford Day Trip
Join the HON 155: Great Books I students on the annual Stratford Day Trip. Meet at the University Center circle drive at 8:00 a.m. on Oct. 9 and ride the bus across the border and into Ontario just like the old days. Bring money for lunch in Downtown Stratford, see the show, and hop back on the bus. Stop for a fast food dinner on the way home, and arrive back at the University Center at 10:00 p.m. The cost is $100 and includes the bus and a theatre ticket. Seats are limited. A passport, passport card, or enhanced driver’s license is required.
Oct. 10th Morning Activities
9:00 a.m.: Breakfast – Let’s all meet for breakfast at the Flint Crepe Company – 555 S. Saginaw St.
10:30 a.m.: Campus tour – Meet at the Office of Admissions, 245 University Pavilion to find out what’s changed on campus!
11:30 a.m.: Downtown walking tour – Meet at the corner of Kearsley St. and Saginaw St. in front of University Pavilion and see what’s new downtown.
Oct. 10th Main Event
If you miss anything, don’t miss this!
First Floor Northbank Center, 432 N. Saginaw St.
6:00-7:00 p.m.: Cocktail Hour – Park Place Room (cash bar- NO students admitted regardless of age)
7:00-9:00 p.m.: Dinner – Grand Ballroom (no cost)
Attire: Formal (Not Black Tie – no need for Tux or Ball Gown)
Men: Nice suit, or equally nice attire fitting your style and personality
Women: Nice dress or pantsuit, again, fitting your personal style and personality
We hope to make this a truly festive and celebratory event without the need to purchase gowns and rent tuxedos.
Oct. 11th: Attend a Football Game at Michigan Stadium
Michigan vs. Penn State game: Kick-off at 7:00 p.m.
Tickets are $95 each plus a $10 service charge per order (with a 4 ticket limit.)

Tailgate Party: 4:30 p.m. (More details will be given at the Oct. 10th evening event)
