Migration is complete!

Hot off the Drupal email press:

We are pleased to report that the UM-Flint website migration project is complete. All content from the current UM-Flint website has been moved into the new Drupal Content Management System. Training is well underway, and nearly every department has sent someone to training in preparation for the launch on October 1.

We strongly encourage you and your department to make the web transition a priority. Please make sure that you are reviewing content and attending any training workshops as necessary to make sure your website is not only working, but offers users a great experience.

If you or someone in your department has not attended a training session, you must sign up immediately for one of the remaining training sessions. You can choose from the list of dates below and sign up via this link: https://formassembly.umflint.edu/1844.

  • Thursday, September 5 – 10-11am, Room 431 French Hall
  • Friday, September 6 – 10-11am, Room 431 French Hall
  • Wednesday, September 18 – 10-11am, Room 431 French Hall
  • Thursday, September 19 – 2-3pm, Room 3153 French Hall

Open sessions are for anyone who has been trained who needs some additional assistance with organizing their content. The remaining open sessions are scheduled in Room 431 French Hall on the following dates:

  • Friday Sept 6, to 2 – 4 p.m.
  • Tuesday Sept 10, 8 – 10 a.m.
  • Thursday Sept 12, 10 a.m. -12 p.m.

  • Friday Sept 20, 1 – 3 p.m.
  • Wednesday Sept 25, 9 – 11 a.m.
  • Friday Sept 27, 2 – 4 p.m.

As the launch date of October 1 gets closer, we will be spot-checking all department websites. If we see any issues or problems with your site, we will be contacting you and your departmental supervisor to work out a plan for either completion or resolving your issues. Please let us know how we can help you with this important transition.
