Contest Terms and Conditions:

  1. Correct answers will be posted/published online, via-email, and on the Staff Council Blog.
  2. Individuals must be members of Staff Assembly to be eligible to win prizes. Eligibility will be verified by HR. Current members of Staff Council are ineligible to win prizes.
  3. Previous winners (although welcome to participate in the contest at any time) are not eligible to win again for six months.
  4. Two prizes will be awarded per trivia question. Winners will be drawn each month from all correct answers and eligible participants.
  5. The availability of a new question will be announced monthly (as prizes are available) via-email.

UM-Flint Staff Members as Students

This session is intended to answer your questions, and showcase the opportunities available to UM-Flint staff members who are considering pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree.

Representatives from the Office of

  • Admissions
  • Graduate Programs
  • Academic Advising
  • Financial Aid
  • Student Accounts
  • Human Resources
  • as well as two staff members currently working toward an undergraduate/graduate degree

will be present to explain the benefits available to staff.

We encourage staff who are currently in the process of or have finished a degree to attend and share their reflections on the staff/student experience.

WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!

Have a question you forgot to ask or didn’t think of?  

Post your questions in the form of a comment below, and the person from the appropriate department will answer. Please keep questions broad, and do not give personal information such as financial aid information or social security numbers. We would like to hear questions that might help anyone. Staff Council Election

The 2012 Staff Council Election has concluded. The Election Committee is pleased to announce the Staff Council Representatives for 2012-2013.

Newly elected members will serve two year terms:

Staff Recognition Award Winners

The nominees for this year’s Staff Recognition Award were outstanding, and on behalf of the 2012 Staff Recognition Awards Committee, it is my pleasure to announce that our winners are:

The winners and nominees will be honored on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 from 9:00 to 11:00 am (with an Award program at 10:00), in the Michigan Rooms.  Please plan to attend the Staff Assembly breakfast to congratulate them. Thank you to those who nominated someone; it was quite a tribute to read the nomination letters.  This was a very difficult decision for the committee and we would like to congratulate all the nominees:
